These are a few things I found in a magazine that summed up being a mom, and boy are they TRUE!
1. You will want to apologize to friends and family who had kids before you, for never really getting why they had less time for you.
2. You will fantisize about what you would swap for a good eight hours of sleep.
3. You will want to throw the baby monitor out the window.
4. You will dread encountering baby-crazed preschoolers and tots with runny noses and coughs, whose moms could care less if they got your baby sick.
5. You will never again touch an infant that isn't yours on the hands or face. (I hate
when I go places and people want to do that to Olivia, it furiates me!)
6. You will forget all about your difficult day with your baby when you finally see her sleeping peacefully at night.
7. You will get sick of hearing yourself say, "I didn't get to it yet."
8. You will hear about criminals on the news and wonder what their moms are doing!
9. You will consider your husband's work commute alone time, and be jealous of it!
10. You will struggle to stay close to your childless friends. (Except Lindsey :) )
11. Lastly...the one I LOVE.....You will marvel at the volumes of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that you have for your most wonderful achievement....YOUR BABY!
There were so many more, but I didn't want to type them all....
It helps to know that ALL moms go through the same things that you do and that
you haven't just lost your mind!
